Harborplace and the Inner Harbor will be impacted by rising sea levels if we do not make critical infrastructure investments. Question F will pave the way for $200 million in much-needed improvements, conserving our treasured waterfront for another century.
Question F will transform the Inner Harbor into one of the most sustainable, environmentally-friendly waterfronts in the nation. It will bring expanded urban wetlands, the installation of new flood mitigation infrastructure, and the planting of hundreds of native trees.
Question F will deliver an expanded, renovated waterfront promenade. It will enhance the walkability and accessibility of one of Baltimore’s favorite waterfront pedestrian pathways.
With the passage of Question F, more local businesses will have opportunities in Harborplace than ever before. It will create a vibrant public marketplace and over 250k sq ft of retail space for local businesses, restaurants, artists, and more.
Question F will bring a public amphitheater with capacity for 2,000 residents and visitors to Harborplace. It will host community concerts, festivals, and events for all to enjoy!
Question F will expand open, accessible space in the heart of Downtown Baltimore. The 18.7 acres of total public space will include over 4 acres of new park land, including 500 new native trees.
Question F will lead to the creation of a public park at the center of Downtown: The Park at Freedom’s Port. Additionally, the West Shore Park will become a place ideal for hosting concerts, festivals, and community events.
Question F will create a Harborplace that everyone can enjoy. Major West-East and North-South vehicle corridors convene at Harborplace – the heart of Baltimore’s Downtown. Additionally, free Water Taxi and Bus routes service Harborplace.
Together, we will transform Harborplace into an accessible and vibrant community for all of Baltimore.
